Terms & conditions of sale  Terms & conditions of sale

1. Payment for bespoke work

  • 100% payment is required for the initial design consultation.
  • On completion of the initial design(s) and further consultation, a further 50% of the overall remaining costs (completion of design, printing proof and printing) are required before the designs go to print. The cost of deposits or final balances will be confirmed in writing.
  • Final payment is due before the cards go to print (the sum of which must have cleared).
  • Payment of such amounts is accepted by Paypal and cheque. Payments received by cheque may take up to seven working days to clear. Orders paid for by cheque may be subject to delay in being despatched while the cheque is processed.

2. Bespoke delivery and fulfilment times

  • After 1-2 weeks, you will receive via email your designs relevant to the design option you have chosen.
  • You will receive a printing proof of your chosen designs for you to review and confirm within 2-4 weeks.
  • These times are just an estimate and may vary due to factors outside the control of Pip Pip.

3. Bespoke proofs

  • Customers will be sent their design(s) to choose from using an electronic pdf file
  • A "proof" is an electronic file (in "pdf" format, to be read using Adobe Acrobat Reader)
  • Adobe Acrobat is universal, easily accessible program. However, Pip Pip can provide the customer with a link to the Adobe website where Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free.
  • A proof is not printed and is therefore an electronic version of the card, which may appear differently from a real card.
  • A customer without email or access to a computer can ask to receive a proof by post. Please be aware that a posted document will take greater time than an electronic document.

4. General Bespoke Terms

  • At each stage ‘Designs’ ‘Final Design-Print Proof’ and ‘Printing’, Pip Pip will inform the customer that they have received these by email/fax or phone customers for those receiving by post. It is therefore the responsibility of the customer to track this. A lack of response at each stage (choosing a favourite from a series of designs, accepting the final design and accepting the proof both usually done simultaneously and sending final payment) will delay the process and prevent the designs from being completed within the suggested time frames.
  • Quotations are valid for 2 months

5. General Terms (covering bespoke and off the shelf)

  • All prices displayed on the website are in pounds sterling (GBP)
  • A standard pricing scheme exists for the purchase of "Off the Shelf" card designs. These are displayed on the website and will be confirmed in the customer’s basket at the point at which the customer confirms that they wish to pay for their purchase.
  • Prices are subject to change (printing costs, material costs and card costs etc). Pip Pip will endeavour to notify customers in advance of any changes.
  • Pip Pip accepts debit and credit card payments by Visa, Visa delta, Maestro domestic, Maestro International, Solo, Mastercard, Electron and JCB, using PayPal as their payment processor. We also accept cheques denominated in UK Pounds (GBP), but regret that we cannot process credit card transactions over the phone.
  • Whilst we state on our website that the periods for design to printing will take approximately 1-6 weeks from designing to actual final print proof. There could be occasions when the time may be extended and our customers need to be advised of this when placing an order. We will do our upmost to stay within the time frames but cannot always control external factors.
  • Printed products may vary slightly to the designs/electronic proofs due to printers. Also, materials used on a batch of cards may very slightly. As we offer a bespoke service, this is the nature of the design process and we feel this adds to the uniqueness of each card.
  • Our logo will appear on all branding and goods.
  • We may use our designs created for Bespoke customers on our website and for marketing purposes.

6. Postage

  • Standard charges for postage and packing will be applied to orders. These reflect standard Royal Mail rates and the weight and size of the items.

8. Returns & refunds

  • A full refund will be provided if the alternative, as mentioned above, is unsuitable.
  • Goods may be returned within 21 days of receipt if the client is unhappy with the goods. However, for this to proceed to a (full) refund the goods must be returned in the same packaging and not damaged. A replacement, alternative or refund will only be issued once we have received the returned goods and inspected the state of the returned goods.
  • When your stationery arrives, please make sure they are unpacked and inspected before signing the delivery note.

  • On receipt of the damaged goods Pip Pip will despatch a replacement and refund the cost of returning the item (at Royal Mail rates). When returning items customers are advised to obtain a proof of posting certificate, as Pip Pip will not issue refunds until the damaged goods are received. Pip Pip have the right to investigate and reserve the right to withhold issuing a refund if Royal Mail disagree with such a claim.
  • Refunds on any grounds other than damage will not be issued on bespoke designs which have been made on commission from the client.
  • In the event that a refund for all or part of a customer's order is agreed, the agreed amount will be credited to the customer's credit or debit card. Where the customer paid for the goods by cheque, any refund will be made in the same way.
